May 2 --Preview Artists--Venus Envy

May 3--Venus Envy The Midwest Writing Center presents author Dan Bynum for an exclusive signing of his new book, The North Point Boys, on Saturday, May 3, at 7pm

 May 8---Annual meeting at Deere-Wiman House in Moline 6 p.m.

May 10--1:30 p.m. author, Donna Beserra launches the newest, "Twirley Shirley" book with a book signing and sale.

May 14---New Writers' support group "Writing as Healing" will meet at 7 p.m.

May 15--Book Discussion  7 p.m. Cindy Johnson will lead a discussion on Khaled Hosseini's A Thousand Splendid Suns.

May 17--35th Mississippi Valley Poetry Contest Awards Night with Robert Dana  7p.m.  Butterworth Center, Moline

May 24--Book signing from 1:30 to 3:30 Author  Niel Johnson, Power, Money, and Women  Words to the Wise from Harry S. Truman.  Niel portrays the former president all over the United States and will give a portrayal at 2:00 p.m.

May 28-5:30--information session about volunteering in the MWC office.  Pizza and beverage provided.  Please RSVP

May 29--Out Loud   7 p.m.

May 30--Final Friday,  6-9 p.m.  May 30--6-9 Final Friday at Bucktown.  Book signing and discussion by Larry Patten at 7 p.m.  Mr. Patten has authored the Champion Series Trilogy: Living As A Champion, Champion Health, and Spiritual Health.

May 31--Noon--information session about volunteering in the MWC office.  Pizza and beverage provided.  Please RSVP
