Cancellation policy—a full refund will be made if the student drops 24 hours before the beginning of the conference. If a
student drops within 24 hours of the beginning an 80% refund will be given. There will be no refunds once the conference begins.

A Day With Pen in Hand Sponsored by the Illinois Arts Council

From 8:30 am until 5:00 pm --with three breaks--With Pen in Hand offers a variety of help and activities for writers interested in
publishing and writing. The schedule is as follows:

Doors open at 8 a.m. Light refreshments provided.

8:30 – 10:15 a.m. Writing and Taxes

10:15 – 10:30 a.m. BREAK

10:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Intellectual Property

12:15 – 1:15 p.m. LUNCH (on your own)

1:15 – 3:00 p.m.                     College Essays and Applications
1:15-3:00 p.m.                       Sonnet Play (this is a FREE workshop is for 10-14 year old students)
1:15 – 3:00 p.m.                     Creating Buzz for You and Your Book

3:00 – 3:15 p.m. BREAK
3:15 - 5:00 p.m. Creative Writing Basics - FREE workshop!

Costs:

$20 per adult workshop; or $60 for all four adult workshops

After Feb. 26th

the fee is $25 per adult workshop; or $75 for all four adult workshops
